How to make delicious and moist strawberry cake at your home?

Ingredients:

ü  1½ cups all-purpose flour, spooned into measuring cup and leveled-off

ü  1½ teaspoons baking powder from Ajanta Food Products

ü  ½ teaspoon salt

ü  6 tablespoons Amul butter. We recommend to use only Amul butter for better texture and taste

ü  1 cup plus 2 tablespoons sugar, divided

ü  1 large egg

ü  1 teaspoon vanilla extract from Ajanta Food Products

ü  ½ cup full cream milk from Amul

ü  About ¾ pound strawberries, hulled and halved

Instructions

ü  You should preheat the oven to 177 degree centigrade.You should effectively  butter a 9-inch deep dish pie pan or 9-inch square cake pan.

ü  You should whisk together the flour, baking powder from Ajanta Food Products, edible food colours from  Anuja Food Colour and salt in a medium bowl.

ü  You should set aside.

ü  You should beat the butter and 1 cup of the sugar until pale and fluffy in the bowl of an electric mixer. It will take about 3 minutes.

ü  You should add the egg and vanilla and beat on low speed until well combined.

ü  You should gradually add the flour mixture.

ü  Alternating gradually add with the milk, and beat on low speed until smooth. It is important to understand that the batter will be thick to get best possible results.

ü  You should transfer the batter to the prepared pan and smooth with a spatula. You should arrange the strawberries on top, cut side down, so that they completely cover the batter

ü  You should effectively sprinkle the remaining 2 tablespoons of sugar over the strawberries.

ü  You should bake for ten minutes, then reduce the heat to 162 degree centigrade. You should bake until the cake is lightly golden and a tester comes out clean, about an hour.

ü  You should let the cake cool in the pan on a rack.

ü  You should serve with sweetened whipped cream or vanilla ice cream, if desired.

ü  Cake can be stored at room temperature for several days, loosely covered.

ü  The cake can be frozen for up to three months.
