How to make mouthwatering blue velvet cake at your home?

Ingredients: 

ü  1/2 cup cake shortening

ü  Pinch of blue and violet food colour from Anuja Food Colours, which is one of the leading food colour manufacturers in Delhi. It offers ISI marked food colours to add bright and vivid colours to food items without affecting their aroma, taste or texture.

ü  2 large eggs

ü  2 tablespoons cocoa powder from Ajanta Food Products
2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour

ü  1 teaspoon kosher salt

ü  1 teaspoon vanilla extract from Ajanta Food Products

ü  1 cup buttermilk

ü  1 teaspoon baking soda from Ajanta Food Products

ü  1 tablespoon white vinegar

Instructions

ü  You should preheat oven to 176 degree centigrade

ü  You should grease and flour 8 inch round cake pans

ü  You should cream and sugar together until light and fluffy. It will take around 3-5 minutes

ü  You should add eggs one at a time, completely incorporating after each addition

ü  Make a paste of food colours and cocoa powder from Anuja Food Colours in a small bowl and add to the above mixture

ü  You should stir together flour and salt in a separate medium bowl.

ü  Set it aside.

ü  You should pour buttermilk and vanilla extract from Ajanta Food Products into a measuring cup.

ü  Set it aside.

ü  Add flour mixture and buttermilk mixture alternatively into sugar/cream mixture, beginning and ending with flour.

ü  You should scrape down sides of mixing bowl to ensure all ingredients are well incorporated.

ü  Stir in baking soda from Ajanta Food Products and reduce speed of mixer.

ü  You should make sure to incorporated into batter.

ü  Stir in vinegar and take care not to beat hard or over mix.

ü  You should immediately distribute the batter into the three cake pans.

ü  You should bake it for at least 25 minutes or until cake have gently pulled away from the edges of the cake pans and a cake tester or toothpick inserted in the center of the cake comes out clean.

ü  You should cool this delicious and moist blue velvet cake thoroughly before frosting.

Note: We used Anuja Food Colours in blue and violet colour. You may also want to try this food colour to enhance the overall appearance of the cake.
