·         ¾ cup granulated sugar

·         2 large eggs (room temp)

·         ½ cup buttermilk (room temp)

·         ¼ cup oil

Frosting:

·         ¾ cup unsalted butter (room temp)

·         2¼–2¾ cups powdered sugar

·         Few drops of vanilla extract

Instructions

·         Heat oven to 350°F/175°C.

·         Grease and line an 8-inch round pan with parchment.

·         Whisk flour, baking powder, baking soda.

·         Beat butter and sugar on medium-high until pale and fluffy, 2–3 minutes.

·         Beat in eggs one at a time until smooth.
